Head Coach Keith Noftz, first season (18-8, career 226-159) LAST YEAR’S RECORD 11-10, 7-3. RETURNING LETTERMEN Da’Vontai Rorie, Sr., 6-6, wing; Mike Mills, Jr., 6-8, post; Devaugntah Williams, Sr., 6-3, wing; Hollis Alexander, Jr., 5-9, point guard; Eric Davis, Jr., 5-9, point guard. TOP NEWCOMERS Tyler Trammell, Sr., 6-4, post; Paul Ortiz, Soph., 6-3, wing; Tyler Wells, Sr., 6-5, post; Sam Burton, Soph., 6-4, post; Xavier Grimes, Sr., 5-9, point guard-wing; Isaiah Lott, Jr., 5-9, point guard. ABOUT THE BULLDOGS The Bulldogs are the biggest and probably most athletic team in the area, so it only makes sense for first-year head coach Keith Noftz to employ a style that will allow them to maximize those strengths. Look for the Pups to apply pressure, and lots of it, on defense for 32 minutes and to push in transition as often as they can. Rorie and Mills provide an inside presence, while Williams can score from the wing. Look for Alexander to prosper at point guard in Noftz’s open system. If the players buy into the philosophical changes and Noftz is able to build some depth, McKinley could return to the regionals for the first time since 2006. *-Federal League Conference game Junior Varsity games tip at 6:00 P.M., Varsity games follow |
